Ron McWherter, first vice president of the Houston office of CB Richard Ellis Inc., represented tenant Campbell, George & Strong, which also has offices in Dallas, San Francisco and Washington, DC. McWherter tells GlobeSt.com that the firm has added partners and increased business, creating the obvious need for more office space. The Chase Bank's owner-managed status helped sew up the deal, according to McWherter.Steve Rocher and Kristin Porter, both of Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Houston office, negotiated the long-term pact for the building owner, BMS Management Inc.
The building is an 18-year-old, 207,534-sf, class A structure in the Galleria area. It is 83% occupied.
