Eco System plans to use the Santa Ana space as its sales and manufacturing facility. According to local sources, the transaction is valued at approximately $260,000.

The landlord, Martin Associates Brokerage, was represented in-house by Tom Spooner. Cory Napora of Resource Commercial Real Estate Inc. acted on behalf of Eco System Aquarium.

More industrial tenants may be inking new leases in the months ahead, as a Chapman University report says the manufacturing sector has entered into recovery mode. The university's Composite Index, which is used to measure manufacturing activity in the county, jumped sharply from 35.6 in the fourth quarter of 2001 to 56.3 in the first quarter of 2002. These figures signal the end of a recession and the start of a recovery, as any value of more than 50 indicates growth for the sector.
