The Cimarron Center is going up at the intersection of Clearview and Cotton lanes in the northwest section of Sun City Grand, a 9,777-resident, master-planned seniors community developed by Arizona-based Del Webb. The $6.5-million multi-use facility is designed with a fitness center, spa, massage rooms, kitchen, lounge, pro shop and social hall with great room and large screen TV. Outdoor amenities consist of six tennis courts, recreational pool with spa and landscaped island, lap pool and cabana.

Dahlin Group of San Ramon, CA is the architect for the Sun City Grand project. Gunther Design of Phoenix is the interior design group while Phoenix-based Stantec Consulting is the landscape architect. The project will be completed in March 2003.

Work also is under way on the $3.5-million Prescott Lakes, an athletic club rising at 315 East Smoke Tree Lane. Des Moines-based Weitz Group is the general contractor and Phoenix's SHJ Studios, the architect of the rustic-style clubhouse. Arizona-based M3 Cos. is the developer of the athletic club and the surrounding Prescott Lakes golf community. Delivery is set for January 2003. The project includes swimming pools., playground and courts for tennis, volleyball and basketball.
