The high tech company, which develops business intelligence applications, currently has 70 employees but anticipates significant growth by the end of the year. According to Jit Saxena, co-founder and CEO of Netezza, the new location will put the company in a position to "seize the market opportunity for a fast, flexible and affordable purpose-built business intelligence appliance."

Last month, Ed Zander, president and COO of Sun Microsystems joined Netezza's board of directors. Prior to that, Netezza which was founded two years ago, completed a $20 million round of financing led by Matrix Partners, Charles River Ventures and Battery Ventures, bringing its total funding to more than $28 million.
