The distribution center will service the Northwest and Southwest US. Aaron Rents is one of the nation's largest office and home furniture rental companies, with more than 650 company-owned and franchised stores in 43 states and Puerto Rico.
"Phoenix offered the regional access to California and the Northwest that Aaron Rents was looking for," Don MacWilliam, managing director for the Phoenix office of Insignia/ESG, said in a prepared statement. "This location was strategic in that it enabled Aaron to serve its current locations in Phoenix as well as the future growth it anticipates in the Valley." He and Payson MacWilliam, also an Insignia managing director, brokered both sides of the deal.
HOMAZ LP of Beverly Hills, CA owns the 276,000-sf warehouse. Mitek Industries occupies 114,000 sf in the structure.
