David Carner, RealPage's vice president of market developmentand applicant screening tells GlobeSt.com that the differencebetween OneSite's latest model and others on the market is that thebackground information is contained within the RealPage siteinstead of kicking subscriber to an agency's Web site forinformation retrieval. Carner says the object was to develop a"one-stop shop" for property managers with single-site scoringcapability.

RealPage, headquartered in Carrollton, TX, has a database ofthousands of terrorists and "Most Wanted" fugitives names, aliasesand dates of birth. The OneSite database includes such federalagencies as the FBI, Treasury department, US Customs Service,Secret Service and Office of Foreign Assets Control. RealPage hasbeen providing on-line criminal records to apartment managers for20 years. It has grown into the industry's largest on-line criminaldatabase and covers more than 60% of the US population, accordingto Carner.

The firm supplies products to more than 20,000 apartmentmanagers in the US. OneSite is designed for analysis andapplication approval, just as its name indicates.
