David Carner, RealPage's vice president of market development and applicant screening tells GlobeSt.com that the difference between OneSite's latest model and others on the market is that the background information is contained within the RealPage site instead of kicking subscriber to an agency's Web site for information retrieval. Carner says the object was to develop a "one-stop shop" for property managers with single-site scoring capability.

RealPage, headquartered in Carrollton, TX, has a database of thousands of terrorists and "Most Wanted" fugitives names, aliases and dates of birth. The OneSite database includes such federal agencies as the FBI, Treasury department, US Customs Service, Secret Service and Office of Foreign Assets Control. RealPage has been providing on-line criminal records to apartment managers for 20 years. It has grown into the industry's largest on-line criminal database and covers more than 60% of the US population, according to Carner.

The firm supplies products to more than 20,000 apartment managers in the US. OneSite is designed for analysis and application approval, just as its name indicates. RealPage, which also has an office in Williston, VT, is a combined operation of Rent Roll Inc., RealPage Communications Inc., M/PF Research Inc. and ChannelTECH Inc.
