Currently vice president and portfolio manager at Pinnacle Management & Trust Co., based in Houston, Garrison, 56, has worked as a certified financial analyst for 30 years, according to information provided by Stratus. Before joining Pinnacle, Garrison was a stockbroker and research analyst at New York-based Harris, Webb & Garrison Inc.
On the board of Austin-based Stratus, he joins William Armstrong, the company's chairman and chief executive; James Leslie, president and chief operating officer of the Staubach Co., based in Dallas; and Michael Madden, a partner of Questor Management Co.
Stratus develops, markets and manages commercial and residential real estate in the Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. Most of its properties are in southwest Austin and include the 75,000 square foot 7500 Rialto Drive building.
