The deal includes the right of refusal for five additional 20,000 sf floors in the class-A building. Short-term growth expectations include expanding activities to a second floor by end of 2002.

Snell & Wilmer, which opened its Denver doors in spring 2000 with six attorneys and fewer than 10 support staff, currently has 22 attorneys and 43 support staff based in Denver. The firm is continuing to recruit new attorneys, despite the sluggish economy. By the end of 2002 it expects to have between 40 and 45 attorneys with a support staff of between 60 to 65.

Snell & Wilmer is expanding its national operations from the Denver office to help establish a local presence comparable to that of its Arizona headquarters.

The firm will soon launch a medical device and pharmaceutical litigation practice and has a National Retail practice. It expects to expand the services provided by its Denver office to key clients, including Comcast Corp., Ford Motor Co., Emerson Electric Co., Starbucks Corp. and Vail Resorts.
