The Lutheran Education Association of Houston bought about 74 acres on the south side of FM 1093, just west of Grand Parkway and adjacent to Westheimer Airpark in far southwest Houston. The association plans to build a private school on the site.

Keith C. Jaehne with Houston's General Property & Services LLC represented the buyers in the transaction. Tom Condon Jr. with the Houston office of Betz Commercial Brokerage Inc. negotiated for the sellers, Ronald Gene McDonald and Jeanne Carol Crandall Sloan. Doug Dabbs of Texas American Title Co. coordinated the closing. Republic National Bank provided the acquisition financing.

Hidenobu and Mitsue Yokoyama purchased a bit less than one acre on the west side of Stuebner Airline Road near the Memorial Northwest subdivision in far northwest Houston for the development of a karate school, Kenshin International Karate-Do headquarters. Condon represented the seller, David M. Lewis, trustee. Olwen Sandel of Alamo Title Co. closed the deal.
