Travolta and developer Terri Thayer couldn't be reached at GlobeSt.com's publication deadline. Thayer, a former model for Revlon Inc., sold Travolta the first nine-acre lot at Jumbolair in 1995 for $550,000 or $61,111 per acre ($1.40 per sf), according to published reports.
Thayer and her former husband, Nautilus exercise equipment founder Arthur Jones, bought Jumbolair in 1980 and used the property as a local airport, wild animal enclosure, celebrity resort and private home.
Thayer later bought out Jones' interest in the property and is developing the project herself.
