Principal Chris Fisher tells GlobeSt.com that Capulco's restaurant will be a casual, Mexican-theme eatery with a bar area and patio dining. Todd O. Hardin with Houston-based NewQuest Properties says the restaurant will be part of a 35,000-sf second phase of inline space. The first phase, anchored by a Randall's grocery store, totals about 80,000 sf.
Hardin felt the center was the place to land since residents of the surrounding neighborhood were lobbying the center's developer to add a sit-down restaurant.
Cole's Crossing takes in several master-planned communities--emerging as a relatively new residential market--and thus is underserved by retail product, including restaurants. Jason Baker of Houston's Wulfe & Co. represented the building owner, Florida-based Regency Centers.
