CDI gets the entire 10th floor of the old Phelps Dodge Tower. Dev Gupta of the Phoenix office of Equis was the tenant's rep for the bargaining of the terms.

CDI provides staff for projects on a temporary or permanent basis. The firm, which has more than 24,000 employees, focuses on supplying workers for the engineering and IT industries. In 2001, CDI brought in revenue totaling $1.5 billion.

The building owner, Starwood Asset Management of Phoenix, was represented by Mark Seale, Jennifer Bishop and Chris Krewson, all of the Phoenix office of CB Richard Ellis Inc. The 15-year-old building is a 20-story, 320,000-sf office tower in the Phoenix's central corridor. The structure recently was redesigned to accommodate tenants in need of 1,000 sf as well as those seeking considerably more office space.
