"To address the increasing demand for early bioprocess development and pre-clinical services, we expanded our bioprocess development and scale-up services earlier this year," company chairman and CEO James Mack explains. "We are now building additional facilities to support this growth business. This service, including media optimization, will accelerate our customers' entry into clinical trials and provide a robust pipeline of new projects for the existing GMP production capacity facilities."
The building, located at 5901 E. Lombard Street, is a seven-year-old structure that was constructed in 1995. Cambrex has not specified the size of the labs and plant, but the 5.3-acre plot on which the building sits will be able to accommodate the new additions.
