The company's 8,300-sf space will enable it to expand its sales, marketing and support staff. DataPower had previously been located in a 2000-sf space at 324 Rindge Avenue. "Our new location better fits our current needs and will allow us to expand to fully leverage our first to market opportunity," says Eugene Kuznetsov, founder, president and CTO of the company. The company cites the new location's reputation as a "technology hub" as well as its proximity to area universities, providing it with recruiting advantages, for its decision to remain.
"The location of our new company headquarters keeps DataPower close to its MIT roots but is also very convenient for employees commuting from the Boston metro area at large," says Steve Kelly, chairman and CEO of DataPower. The company recently secured $9.5 million in series B financing from Mobius Venture Capital, Seed Capital Partners and Venrock Associates.
