Fairfield has already place the listed hospital building itself, and 38 acres under contract to be sold to a number of leading housebuilders, including Galliford Try's Stamford Homes subsidiary, with completion taking place as soon as Fairfield has serviced the land. The remaining six acres will be sold when the infrastructure has been completed.
The adjoining 25 acres has already been sold to a consortium of housebuilders, including Stamford Homes. Fairfield Redevelopments will install the necessary infrastructure, with Stamford Homes acting as project manager for the entire site. Construction is anticipated to commence in January 2003, with the first housing completions at the end of 2003. The whole development is expected to take four years.
