The plant is creating 100 jobs, says Ron Sneddon, division manager for the health-care laundry provider. It will deliver in spring 2003.
Arizona-based Diemer & Associates designed the facility, expandable for another 30,000 sf. LGE Corp. of Arizona is the developer and general contractor for the build-to-suit. Steve Bodeman of the Phoenix office of DAUM's Commercial Real Estate Services represented Angelica Textile Services in the build-to-suit agreement with LGE Corp.
Angelica customers previously were supplied by a facility in Southern California out of a small office in Phoenix. The parent company, Angelica Corp. of Chesterfield, MO, provides textile rental and laundry services to health-care institutions and operates a national chain of retail uniform and shoe stores.
