Karmann USA Inc. is the American subsidiary of Wilhelm Karmann GmbH, a German-based full service automotive supplier offering services from engineering and complete vehicle development to manufacturing and assembly.
The auto supplier is known for its convertible engineering and production. Karmann's current customer list includes DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Co. (Jaguar), Renault and Audi.
The new facility will replace existing office space in Livonia and will provide space for engineering, sales and marketing as well as a prototype shop. The lobby will include automotive displays and prototype cars, and the building will be equipped with sunshades that will add a distinctive appearance to the building.
