Christopher Oliver, Scott Wegmann and Tim D. Relyea, all of the Houston office of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc., represented 3D/International. Oliver tells GlobeSt.com that the firm has been a tenant in the building for more than a decade. 3D/International looked around at other buildings and even considered building its own corporate headquarters, but at the end of the day, says Oliver, "the economics were compelling to stay."
Oliver also says 3D/International was impressed by its dealings with the building's new owners, Transwestern 3DI LP, an entity of Transwestern Commercial Services, which just returned its headquarters to Houston after several years in Chicago. "They were first class to deal with," says Oliver, who stresses 3D/International wanted to continue that relationship.
Transwestern closed the deal March 8 for the 406,415-sf, 21-story, class A building. Built in 1979, it figures prominently into the Galleria scene. Transwestern's Eric Anderson handled talks for the building owner.
