DaVita signed a 10-year lease at the property. It will open the center in January 2003. DaVita, formerly known as Total Renal Care, is the second largest provider of dialysis services in the US. DaVita treats 41,000 patients nationwide at 486 owned and managed dialysis centers.
The Cushman & Wakefield of Arizona Inc. team of Jerry Jacobs and Larry Downey represented the building owner, LSF Presidio Investments LLC. Brad Logan with Phoenix-based Cavan Commercial structured the deal on the tenant's behalf.
According to Cushman & Wakefield's second-quarter statistics, the central Scottsdale submarket has about four million sf of office space in its inventory. In Q2, the submarket posted a negative 72,421-sf absorption. Vacancy was 25% and the average class A rent, $22.96 per sf.
