Susan Hage, the restaurant owner, handled her side of the lease talks. Jeff Beard, director of retail properties for the Woodlands Operating Co. LP, represented the building owner. The restaurant also has a location in Houston's Greenway Plaza area.
The Woodlands estimates more than 14 million people shop regularly in the community. The 1.1-million-sf Woodlands Mall is the centerpiece of a the area's retail market.
In an unrelated transaction, Popeye's restaurants recently purchased 25,814 sf of land along FM 249 or the Spring Cypress Road in Houston. James H. Glanville of the Houston office of Colliers International represented buyer and seller, G&F 249 Ltd.
