The newly opened Pickups Plus is an 8,000-sf leased site at 1718 Fry Rd. in far west Houston. It is the largest franchise outlet to date for the company. The space is part of a 170,334-sf office-warehouse complex owned by Houston-based R.E. Income.
"Texas is one of the largest markets in the US for trucks and SUVs," said a statement by Gary Hoyle, vice president of franchise operations for Pickups Plus. "We believe that Texas represents an outstanding growth opportunity for Pickups Plus retail stores and anticipate opening additional franchise operations throughout the Texas market." Hoyle says the store likely could match the $1-million plus of first-year sales for the Columbus franchise outlet.
