Sara S. Baker, president of Henry S. Miller Multi Management Inc., hired Terrie B. Smith as assistant vice president to manage the Houston operation. Baker says client needs necessitated a physical presence in the city. "Operating our Houston office is a statement of our commitment to the business and our clients," Smith said in a press release. The opening is tied to a statewide growth strategy for the division.
Smith previously was vice president and asset manager of the trust division for Bank of America, which doubled its managed portfolio in the last three years. She has 22 years' experience.
