Dr. Roger Robinson is the site's current owner and he would sell the land to the town for $2.1 million. A town official tells GlobeSt.com that the possible acquisition is "still in discussion," which, she emphasizes, "does not mean that we are not going to take it."

If the town passes on the land, Christopher Enterprises LLC has already indicated its interest in the site. According to the town official, the company wants to put an over-55 housing project on the site. The town currently has no other senior housing projects.
