David Frosh, president of Sperry Van Ness, is overseeing the national expansion, which has grown from nine regions to approximately 45 regions in the past 18 months. Kevin Maggiacomo, regional director for Sperry Van Ness, is responsible for the company's growth in the New England area.

Maggiacomo tells GlobeSt.com that the company focuses on the real estate investment sales market. He notes that rather than moving into a market by buying up a company or leasing expensive space, the company's strategy is to align itself with top producing independent brokers in an area. He emphasizes that the arrangement is helpful to the broker as well because brokers are "no longer precluded from chasing deals" that are too big for them.

Maggiacomo calls Greater Boston a "strategic market and one of the most important markets from a national perspective." He says that with its foray into the Boston area Sperry Van Ness is now in virtually every "A" market in the country and is now focusing on expanding into "B" and "C" markets.

Sperry Van Ness provides in-house brokerage, realty advisory and consultation, asset management, property management, leasing and financial services to clients in over 40 regions across the country. Since its founding in 1987, the company has secured billions of dollars in multifamily, retail, industrial, office, hospitality and land transactions.
