For now, Bockwinkel's will operate out of 1,800 sf of temporary space before its permanent location is built out in time for a December occupancy.
The signing of Bockwinkel's follows the decision by Rick Wahlstedt and Jean Goutal to open a 10,000-sf upscale Japanese restaurant at 600 West.
Jennifer Fitzpatrick of Blatteis & Schnur represented both parties in the Bockwinkel's transaction.
"The elements of this neighborhood are coming together," says Taconic Investment Partners senior vice president Jeffrey Sussman in a statement. "Our vision for this community is becoming a reality and a tremendous success."
