According to Margie Koenig, a company spokesperson, Aberdeen, a technology market analysis and positioning services firm, decided to look for new space when its five year lease expired and One Boston changed hands. The 802,205-sf 41-story building was recently acquired by Walton Street Capital LLC and Blackstone Real Estate Advisors.

"We got just as good a space for a much better deal," Koenig tells GlobeSt.com. She declined to disclose the new lease rate but she says that it is less than the company's previous lease at One Boston. Current average asking rents in the area are in the $40s per sf.

260 Franklin is a 348,901-sf 23-story building. Among its office tenants are Lehman Brothers, LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, Focal Communications, Fidelity Investments, which occupies seven floors, Day, Berry & Howard, Panagora Asset Management and Fish Richardson.
