Jeny's Meat Market Corp. supplies eight stores in Dallas and two in Arlington, operated under the La Mexicana Meat Market branding. Finish-out is under way, with occupancy to take place in the fourth quarter in time for more store openings. The suburb of Garland is next in line for a specialty meat store.
Luis Pina, vice president of the Henry S. Miller Commercial International Group, tells GlobeSt.com that the eight-year-old supplier searched the region for six months before deciding on the Dallas location. Pina, who represented tenant and building owner, says the deal takes the four-month-old building to 50% occupancy. Gilmore Davis Cos. of Dallas is the owner.
Also in Dallas, a 10-year tenant at a RREEF-managed property has re-upped for the short term, GlobeSt.com is told. Dallas Backup Inc., a supplier of soundstage and lighting equipment, renewed a 17,447-sf lease at 12623 Perimeter Dr. Michael T. Grant and Helen Hudson, both of Dallas-based TIG Real Estate Services, represented the building owner, Calwest Texas Properties LP., a RREEF client. Tom Lucas of Harry B. Lucas Co. in Dallas brokered the pact for the tenant.
