Young tells GlobeSt.com that his client wanted the more "prominent exposure" that 100 Congress offers. The building is "very well located" and "attractive from an amenity standpoint," he adds. Bernard Haldane has 78 offices in the US and United Kingdom.
The 100 Congress is a 411,536-sf office building owned by Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. John Baird of Dallas-based Lincoln Property Co.'s Austin office represented the building owner. The building, constructed in 1987, currently is 80% occupied. The annual quoted rate is $24 per sf.
