NHS Names Preferred Partners for $662M Partnership

LONDON-The National Health Service has named its preferred partners for a pounds 400 million ($662 million) public-private partnership.

The completed deal will see the NHS become a major property developer. The aim is to convert 100-120 former hospitals and asylums on 4,800 acres into private residential homes.

Inventures, the NHS subsidiary responsible for managing surplus property, will move to the Miller-Bank of Scotland partnership.
