The new project is a 146,938-sf building at 3121 Michelson Drive that was developed by 3121 Michelson Drive LLC and built by McCarthy Building Cos. of Newport Beach. A portion of the new building is occupied by Trammell Crow Co.
The building is part of the 105-acre Park Place development and features an adjacent parking structure with a covered walkway to the office building. It is near a retail and entertainment center called Shops at Park Place that includes a 10-screen movie theater and an 18-hole golf putting course.
Besides the 3121 Michelson Drive building, Park Place includes a cantilevered 10-story office tower and six four-story buildings that connect to a concourse. It contains more than 2 million sf and houses the regional offices for ConAgra, CalTrans, Samsung, and Balboa Financial Services.
