Barnes & Noble opened a store in Smithfield last July and just recently signed a lease to relocate its store in Warwick to a larger space. The original store in Warwick had opened in 1992 and was the only store in the state for ten years.
This store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and will feature a cafe. The company plans to open the store in September, 2003.
Barnes & Noble also just signed a lease for 25,000-sf store in Worchester, MA which will open in April 2003. That store will be the 18th store in the state. The company recently opened a store in the Prudential Center in Boston.
