Plant Automation is a Houston-based solutions provider for industrial process plants. Dan Boyles of the Houston office of NAI Partners Commercial represented the tenant in the long-term signing. Boyles tells GlobeSt.com that the ability to expand in the building and avoid the disruption of a move were key factors in the firm's decision to stay. The firm has been a tenant for at least three years in the Boeing building.

Boyles says the firm has a lot of clients in chemical plants in nearby Pasadena so the Boeing address provides proximity to some customers although its scope and clientele go beyond the Texas borders.

Dena Wren with the Houston office of CB Richard Ellis Inc. represented the building owner, Austin-based CCI-16055 Ltd. The owners purchased the seven-story, 147,765-sf building in 1999. The class A building currently is 93% occupied. Its quoted rate is $18.50 per sf.
