"In fact, we have been operating under this name on the West Coast for the past eight years," he adds.

Nothing else is changing, Thorn says.

"We still have the same strong senior management team and the same dedicated staff who now manage 12.5 million sf of properties in 12 states," Thorn says. "Doug Wilson (his partner) and I have worked together for 27 years."

The company also will continue to pursue development opportunities through its Mile High Development LLC, led by Bill Mosher and Mike Sullivan.

"Mile High Development has always been a separate entity," Thorn says, and will concentrate on public and private projects, such as the Wellington E. Webb Municipal Office Building, Colorado Center and Residences at the Denver Art Museum.
