The domestic violence court was headed to the former Helene Curtis headquarters at 325 N. Clark St., but political opposition forced the county to continue searching. The deal was brokered by Century 21 Sussex & Reilly Commercial Properties, which marked the six-month-old company's largest transaction to date.
According to property records, the lot at Harrison and Clinton streets was acquired by Odessa Enterprises for $3.7 million in 2000.
The property at 1100 W. Monroe St. was formerly owned by Office Concepts, which recently moved to a 64,000-sf building nearby, says Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler Inc. senior vice president Vernon F. Schultz, SIOR, who represented Office Concepts with vice president Michael L. Senner.
Andy Davidson of MB Beitler represented Kolcraft, which is relocating from 3455 W. 31st Pl.
