Work is expected to commence in early 2004 with completion expected in 2011. The completed development value is expected to be approximately £60 million. ($95 million), Counctryside is already building 500 new homes at nearby Bluewater in a joint venture with Land Securities.
Countryside Properties' Group New Business Director Richard Cherry said: "The Gravesend Canal Basin provides a unique opportunity to create a new and vibrant focal point for the town, as well as attracting significant investment into the area."
