Auburn, which distributes consumer products, will have its administrative offices in the building with the remainder of the space used as a warehouse. CBB/Binswanger Company represented the tenant while the building's management, Arcade Realty Trust, represented themselves.
Michael Treacy, a senior vice president at CBB/Binswanger tells GlobeSt.com that the lease was renewed at $3.20 per sf, which he says is a "competitive" rate that is higher than what the company had been paying under the previous lease signed five years ago.
"It's always been a problem locally finding warehouse space," he says, pointing out that many companies have to go further beyond Route 495 to find appropriate space. Whitinsville is about 45 minutes outside of Boston.
