The Houston accounting firm of McEvoy & Co. leased 2,489 sf at Regency Square Tower at 6200 Savoy, a 219,000-sf, 12-story building located near the crossroads of Southwest Freeway and Hillcroft. The 24-year-old building's rate is quoted at $14 per sf.
Steve Rocher and Kristen Porter, both with the Houston office of Grubb & Ellis Co., represented the building owner, Unilev Management, as well as the accounting firm in the negotiations.
Rocher single-handedly represented Unilev Management in talks with Gloria Parrino of Houston's Betz Co. for a 1,848-sf lease. The inbound tenant is Bishop Petroleum, a natural gas and petroleum exploration and surveying company, which signed for a spot in 3555 Timmons, a 225,895-sf suburban office building that's 94% occupied. The 19-year-old building leases for $19 per sf.
The Southwest Freeway submarket contains 11 million sf of office space. Its vacancy is 20.71%; rent averages $15.33 per sf.
