Coaster Company of America, an importer and distributor of "Ready To Assemble" furniture and accessories, will relocate its existing Bay Area facility on Doolittle Drive in San Leandro to a newer state-of-the-art warehouse in Newark.
The company has signed a 65-month lease with Prologis Trust to occupy 269,000-sf of space at 6753 Mowry Avenue. It will move into the new space at the end of this year.
The warehouse facility features high density sprinklers, a large yard area for a trailer drop lot, and 9,000-sf of office space. The property was built in 1997, and previously occupied by Ingram Micro Corp.
Tim Cronin and Craig Hagglund of Lee & Associates represented Coaster Company of America, while Scott Lamson represented Prologis Trust in house. The lease is valued at $6 million.
