The owner of record, 10010 Gulf Freeway Ltd., plans to put a small amount of money into renovations before going in search of a tenant, John Littman of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc.'s Houston office tells GlobeSt.com. He and B. Kelley Parker, also with Cushman & Wakefield, worked with Matthew Alexander of Chicago-based Equis Corp. to represent the seller in the negotiations. Seller Ohio-based Grand Eagle Services North America Inc. used the 25-year-old building a fabrication division.
The brokers aren't talking about the selling price. According to Harris County tax records, the property is assessed at $741,000.
More than 11 acres of commercially zoned raw land was sold to a Houston couple, Rickey J. and Mellanie R. Mattern. The land is located at Beltway 8 and Texas 249 in northwest Houston.
According to tax records, seller Joseph R. Shannon Jr. trustee assembled the acreage from at least three tracts in separate purchases in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Parker and Littman represented the seller. Marc Drumwright of Southwest Realty Advisors brokered the sale for the buyer.
