In the transaction, Adam Silver, a principal of Newmark New Jersey, represented the seller, Alemabe Associates, a local group. Tallman Realty Group, based in Asbury Park, spoke for the buyer, Landmark Group LLC of Brick, NJ.
Asbury Park, of course, has been making headlines recently with a massive, highly touted oceanfront redevelopment plan that has lately been clouded by the improprieties of the now-resigned and convicted city manager, Terrance Weldon. The improprieties have only been linked to Weldon's activities as mayor of nearby Ocean Twp., and Asbury Park's redevelopment plan is still scheduled to come up for a final city council vote on October 23.
"Today, the Monmouth/Ocean County region is among the most desirable redevelopment areas in the state," according to Silver.
