Pinkard is responsible for four buildings consisting of 220,000 sf. The 40-year old company has completed more than 800 diverse building projects across the Rocky Mountain region. It is the only general contractor in the US to receive seven consecutive National of Excellence in Construction Awards, which are voted by industry peers.
"We are delighted to have identified such a well-regarded construction company in the backyard of the Belmar project," says Bob Hayner, director of construction for Continuum.
DPR Construction Inc. will build 183,000 sf of mixed-use buildings, remodel the 140,000-sf remaining structure and build a 1,000-car parking garage. DPR was founded in 1990 and is privately owned. The rapidly growing company has 17 offices and completes $2 billion in construction annually. The company opened its Denver office in 1997.
"The Belmar project is a great opportunity for us," says Mark Bartley, Denver regional manager for DPR. "We look forward to working with Continuum on this high-profile project."
The Rocky Mountain office of JE Dunn is responsible for three buildings that will house both retail and residential units and encompass 106,000 sf. They also will build a multi-story 300,000-sf parking garage.
JE Dunn was founded in Kansas City in 1924 and has 15 offices across the country. The company employs 120 people in the Rocky Mountain Region and is working on 30 projects including the Ballpark Lofts, Swallow Hill condominiums, Portofino Tower and GSA Building 25 renovation at the Denver Federal Center. They also are the program manager for a $305-million Denver Public Schools capital improvement project.
Belmar is a 104-acre mixed use development located at Wadsworth Boulevard and Alameda Avenue, which, on completion, will serve as the city's Downtown. The project is being redeveloped through a public/private partnership between the city and Continuum Lakewood Development Company LLC.
