Vreeland Office Center is located immediately adjacent to Kushner's three-building Columbia Corporate Center, which includes the brand-new 160,000-sf 18 Columbia Turnpike. The company, which maintains its HQ operations in the adjacent 26 Columbia Turnpike, will fold Vreeland into Columbia Corporate Center, creating a five-building class A campus of some 422,000 sf on 45 acres.
"Vreeland Office Center's proximity to Columbia Corporate Center enhanced its appeal as an acquisition opportunity," according to Richard Stadtmauer, managing partner and vice chairman of Kushner Cos. "It's a natural extension of our existing campus. By combining the properties, we've created one of the most competitive corporate environments in the area."
Another plus in this flat real estate market is that the acquired property comes 100% leased, with such tenants as AT&T, MetLife, Louis Berger Group, Briad Corp., Human Resources Management and Danzig Ganubo & Kay. Tenants at the original three-building Columbia Corporate Campus include CIBC Oppenheimer; Witman, Stadtmauer & Michaels; Stern-Ring Assoc.; Billco International; Hack, Piro, O'Day & Merklinger; and Johnson & Johnson, among others.
