"BAE Systems has been an important part of the aerospace anddefense community here in Fairfax County and I am delighted thecompany has expanded here," Fairfax Economic Development Authoritypresident and CEO Gerald L. Gordon says. The company announced itsdecision to expand in the Fairfax area back in January. "BAESystems has been a tremendous corporate citizen and has been animportant factor in our quality of life."

It has been 20 years since the company first established itspresence in Fairfax County, which received a $50,000 Governor'sOpportunity Fund grant for infrastructural development toaccommodate BAE Systems' new facility.
