"But with more and more national project opportunities presenting themselves, the time is right to prepare the company for the next phase of growth in the national marketplace."
As part of the restructuring, the company is forming a National Markets Group that will target specialty segment industries. The group will initially focus on the science/technology and healthcare segments.
The consolidation, which is expected to be completed by the beginning of next year, will result in a company with combined annual revenues of about $5 billion and a roster of more than 5,300 employees.
