Fort Lauderdale-based Maleta was formed last month by LawrenceP. and Thomas A. Maleta. Both Maletas previously worked forPavarini Construction, a major general contractor with annualrevenue of approximately $100 million.
There, Lawrence Maleta was southeast regional vice president andwas responsible for such projects as 355 Alhambra Plaza in Miami;the SunTrust Tower in Fort Lauderdale; and the University of MiamiSchools of Business & Communication in Miami. He was withPavarini for 23 years.
Thomas Maleta worked for Pavarini for 18 years and held titlesranging from superintendent to project manager of the Tides HotelRenovation and project executive of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.His duties also included business development and clientrelations.
