The buyer, Hsing Properties LLC, has shelled out nearly $3.6 million for the property, which stands on a 1.72-acre parcel at 1075-1079 S. Mission Rd. Located adjacent to the Fallbrook Towne Center, the facility is occupied by tenants including Radio Shack, Payless Shoe Source, Domino's Pizza and Video Depot.

Hsing Properties was represented by Andrew Peceimer of Coldwell Banker Commercial. Kirk Allison and Vic Gausepohl of Colliers International and Don Zech of CDC Commercial acted on behalf of the seller, Fallbrook Towne Center North LLC.

The Fallbrook deal comes as the San Diego retail market continues to hold its own, having "resisted a downturn in the face of a weakened economy" this year, according to a report by Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. that ranked the region as number two among 35 retail markets in 2002. Placing behind only Washington, DC this year, San Diego actually moved up one rank from Marcus & Millichap's 2001 report.
