Blais Excess & Surplus Agency of Texas Inc., a specialty wholesale insurance brokerage, will relocate from 2825 Wilcrest into 2,927 sf at Two Memorial Plaza, a well-known office address at 820 Gessner Rd. The inbound tenant also has offices in Austin and Dallas. Mike Collins of the Houston office of Grubb & Ellis Co. represented the tenant.
Two Memorial City Plaza is an 18-story, 375,000-sf structure owned by Houston-based Metro National Corp. Randy Nerren was Metro National's in-house broker who worked out the deal.
A dispute resolution expert, Resolute Systems Inc. of Milwaukee, signed for 2,023 sf at 1770 St. James Place in the Galleria. The 103,000-sf building is owned by Cranford, NJ-based REIT, Mack-Cali Texas Property LP.
Collins represented the tenant and Terri Torregrossa, Mack-Cali's in-house broker, handled its side of the talks. The office building space is quoted at $16.50 per sf.
