Suitt was cited for its design-build construction of Crossroads, a $30 million, 10-building family entertainment attraction that is part of Stone Mountain Park in Stone Mountain, GA, an Atlanta suburb.

The park is owned by Silver Dollar City Corp., a Branson, MO-based theme park developer with active ventures in Branson, MO ($40 million Celebration City) and Pigeon Forge, TN (Dollywood with entertainer Dolly Parton).

At Crossroads, Suitt built the simulated theme-park town from wood and angled the entire project slightly out-of-kilter to resemble 1870s style construction, ABC says in a prepared statement. The buildings consist of a restaurant, mill and bakery, 4-D theater, ticketing facility and candy, glass, blacksmith, candle, tintype and general mercantile shops.

Suitt was founded in 1968 by Howard Suitt and is a subsidiary of BE&K Inc. of Birmingham, AL. Suitt's annual sales average $500 million to $1 billion, according to its Web site.

About 50% of the company's volume is generated from design-build projects and 80% of repeat clients. Suitt is a founding member of the Design-Build Institute of America.
