SAN DIEGO, CA-Carmel Valley Housing Associates LP has completed its 112-unit affordable housing project, known as Torrey Del Mar, three months ahead of schedule.
Located at 13875 Carmel Valley Rd., the complex contains one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 624 sf to 1,046 sf. Amenities include a pool, barbeque area and children's playground, as well as on-site laundry facilities and a community clubhouse with a learning center.
Torrey Del Mar was built by Wermers Multi-Family Corp, with project consultants including Starck Architecture, Horowitz Taylor Engineering, Hunsaker & Associates Civil Engineers and Marquez & Kuhlken Landscape Architects.
Affordable housing continues to be a significant concern in San Diego County with the average monthly rent here climbing to $1137 in September of this year. According to research by RealFacts, San Diego rent levels have increased 5.9% thus far over the course of 2002.
