"We should have a deal completed by the end of the year," ChrisConstant, Cigna's broker, tells GlobeSt.com. "Hopefully I'll get aChristmas present." Constant, associate director in Cushman &Wakefield's Fort Lauderdale office, would not elaborate. Butwhichever location wins will be leasing in the area of 60,000 sf to70,000 sf to the company, he says.

In late August, the city of Sunrise offered the corporation upto $450,000 in all-cash incentives to make the move. The cash wouldbe spread out over three years. It was a worthwhile gamble, sincethe city would reap another 420 permanent jobs.

Another company may take a little more time to decide whether toaccept Sunrise's economic incentives. Vista Health Plan has not yetdecided to accept Sunrise's $250,000 in incentives made in lateSeptember. The prize was proffered for Vista's potential HQconsolidation of resources from nearby Hollywood to current officesin Sunrise, Pat Morris, vice president of community affairs forVista Health Plan, tells GlobeSt.com. Vista currently hasapproximately 400 workers at its headquarters and 500 in Sunrise.The firm is considering several sites in Broward County and maystay put, Morris says. There has been "no movement one way or theother," he says.
